Farmer's Wife Sampler Quilt

Farmer’s Wife Sampler Quilt Requirements:

• 4 – 5 (minimum) fat quarters or fat eighths in a selection of colours and values (light to dark). We will add to these over the next few months, but this will get you started.
• Sewing thread – ideally 60wt, such as YLI Soft Touch or Mettler Fine Embroidery Cotton in a neutral colour to suit your chosen fabrics.
• 6 metres of sashing and setting triangles (in my sample these are white)
• 70cm of border fabric (in my sample, the pink floral)
• 25cm (skinny quarter) of cornerstones (little squares between the sashing – in my sample these are green)
• 50cm of fabric for binding the edges (in my sample, the turquoise spots)
• Backing fabric – ideally get extra wide fabric, 1.6 metres.

And don't forget your basic sewing equipment, to include:

• Rotary cutter
• Quilting ruler
• Cutting mat (we do have a small amount number of mats to for you to use but bringing your own may save you waiting)
• Scissors
• Pins
• Fabric marker
• Bobbin

Husqvarna owners may also wish to bring the following:

• Green bobbin (these can be purchased individually in the shop)
• 1/4” piecing foot
• Open toe appliqué foot
• Walking foot
• Free motion spring foot
