Christmas Sampler Quilt

This quilt is similar in approach to the Urban Folk quilt, with an emphasis on appliqué. Lots of different techniques are involved, plenty to learn and practise. It will take approximately 8 sessions to complete.

Christmas Quilt Requirements

Fabric requirements

This quilt is themed for Christmas, so the colour range is usually centred around red and green. We start with the lettering, so some Christmassy fabrics are a good idea to start off with, and a few plainer colours. Look for fabrics with some visual texture, rather than flat colour – so with a small pattern or smudgy effect.

You will no doubt add to your fabrics as you go along, so start with a few fat quarters. Later you will add ribbon and decorative stitching.

You will also need (to start with):
